rsriv.com beneath the estate

A locked door.

The house keeps five small marks in five rooms — faded until touched. So far it counts 0 of 5.

Wander the estate. Touch what looks like it doesn't belong. The door opens on its own.

hint: a bat, a thread, a mark of awakening, a bolt, a paw.

The Cave

You touched all five. Almost nobody does that. So here's the part of the story the upstairs rooms keep polite.

01

The wager, unpolished

In 2025 I walked out of a good career because I couldn't shake one belief: the tools had changed enough that one person could build what used to take a team — if that person knew themselves well enough to aim. No funding, no cohort, no safety net narrative. Just the wager, tested daily, in public.

Some mornings the wager looks brilliant. Some nights at 3 AM it looks insane. Both reports are accurate. I'm keeping the receipts either way — that's what the estate upstairs actually is.

02

The map I navigate by

The library says astrology is an interface. Down here is the part where I admit I use it on myself. My own chart, Vedic, whole-sign — the schema I check my patterns against:

ascendantLibrathe self — 1st
sun · mercuryCancerwork — 10th
moonLeogains — 11th
venusTaurus, own signdepth — 8th
marsGeminipurpose — 9th
jupiter ℞Sagittariusskills — 3rd
saturn · ketu ℞Piscesfriction — 6th
rahu ℞Virgorelease — 12th

I read it as a mirror with good resolution — it keeps catching things I'd rather not see, which is the only kind of mirror worth keeping.

03

Why the bats

A boy loses everything, goes into a cave, and meets the thing he's most afraid of. He doesn't kill it. He wears it. That's the whole trick, and it's older than the comics — every myth in the library says the same thing: the way out of the cave is to make the cave yours.

So the bats stay. They're shy upstairs. Down here, they're home.

04

You were really here

If you made it to this room, I actually want to hear from you. Use the door below — the subject line tells me you found the cave, and those mails get answered first.

mention which sigil took you longest. i keep score.
